Question Help with Emuzed Angel [Dell] USB TV Tuner Card

I have no experience with getting TV Tuner cards to work on Linux, but I have recently been given an unwanted Emuzed Angel USB TV Tuner card.

Here are the specs (from Dell):
http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...n/specific.htm

Is there any chance that this would work with Linux?

Thanks for the help.

I am also extremely interested in this. I have recently tried FC6's kernel modules in drivers/media/dvb/* and none of them are able to detect the box. dmesg just says:
Code:

usb 5-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2
usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

Any Luck?

Were you ever able to get this working?

I've just recently come across this tuner and would like to get it working in linux as well.

Any help guidance you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks!

No, I never got this working. I gave up on it and recently built a new machine with a TV-Card that has much more Linux support (the Hauppauge PVR-500) and even that was difficult to get working under Linux.

Most TV cards out there seem to be too proprietary for anyone to get them working under Linux, and that includes this Dell card.

saa7134 based internal cards are usually OK and low cost check here:

for a fairly current list of supported cards with manufacturer names.
