Help with Dual Displays

Hey guys, I have the ATI Radeon 9600XT video card and that has 2 outputs for monitors there. Now I have had dual monitors set up before and they worked great in windows. However my problem now seems to be this. I can enable the dual monitors and when I go into the configuration my other monitor doesn't show up as a monitor available on there so I can only clone my original monitor (which defeats the purpose of having dual monitors.). I have the correct driver installed and I have the 3D acceloration enabled so it's all working great, I just can't get my dual monitors to work right. Can anyone help?

This site should help. The doc is for Gentoo, but it should be relatively generic across distros -- see the ATI section.
