Help: screen rotates but mouse does not!

Hi all,

i just got the display on my LCD rotated so i can read whole document pages at once. Since xrandr refused to cooperate, i used the line

Option "Rotate" "CCW"

in the "Device" section of my xorg.conf (ubuntu Breezy). But how do i tell the bl**dy mouse to change its coordinate system, too?

At the moment the mouse movements would be correct for landscape orientation of the screen. Rotating the mouse in my hand solves the problem, but it's rather uncomfortable :-(
Worse still, to click something on the Gnome desktop, i have to click at the position where the menu would be if i still had the desktop in landscape orientation, not where it's actually displayed on the screen.

I would really appreciate some help on this, since i don't even know where to start looking.

Thanks
Michael

Have you tried putting
Code:
  Option	"Rotate"	"CCW"
in the InputDevice section for the mouse too?

i think i have tried that and it didn't work. But since it was so long ago, i will try it again and get back to here.

Thanks
