Help newbie!

ok 3 main problems to begin with
I got a hold of suse linux 8.2 yesterday installed it and when I try to play music off my other partitions at first it said there was no audio hardware - but now it is just playing the mp3s with the time bar going along - the sound bar on 100% - but sitll no music - i was wondering what could be the solution - its the C-Media9738 soundcard

Secondly I do not know how to install the internet, I have freeserve broadband with the weird green usb thing!

and finally when it was installing it recognized my graphics card ati radeon 7000 - yer its the bugger of all graphics cards!! - but its saying that it doesnt have any 3D acceleration so I can't play the quality games

bear in mind I am a complete newbie - does anyone have any websites which have the basics of using suse linux on them?

thankyou

andy

I would rather exchange the usb modem for ethernet one. But try these links first:

http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net/
http://linux-usb.sourceforge.net/SpeedTouch/howto.html
http://benoit.papillault.free.fr/spe...h/user.en.php3

Check www.ati.com for the linux driver. 3D may not work yet because the support for XFree86 version 4.3 is not there yet but the said it's comming soon ;-)

Try open konsole, su, alsaconf
Can you hear anything?
