help me with conexant driver


hi
before i format my linux partition i had the drivers for conexant hcf modem working fine with 2.4.19 kernel
now i try to install the drivers again ,i install it with no error but when i look in /dev i dont find /ttyShcf entry
how can i fix it?
i must say that my modem on windows is on com3
pls help me
