help me get my canon ip4000 working in centos 5

I did everything in this thread already

but I keep getting dependency issuse ...

Error: Missing Dependency: libxml is needed by package bjfilter-common
Error: Missing Dependency: is needed by package bjfilter-pixusip4100

so I really don't know what to do now. I would like to stick with centos to learn the poor mans red hat...but I dont want to have to get a new printer. the printer does not show up under canon in the new printer setup...any help greatly appreciated.

According to Linux printing your printer will work. Look at this link.

It lists the driver to use. If I were you, install cups, and follow these instructions.
