Question help me find best choice for wireless card to debian

I need your help to find a card for my laptop. The one I use today has caused me lack of time... and is worthless in distance (belkin F5F6020, ver 2.1)

Never mind my old card is now history and Im looking for a new card to support 802.11b for my access point. A 802.11g is not nescessarry since i only use it for browsing the internet.

My disto is Debian, testing version.

I look for the price according to the quality in security (WEP / WAP) and distance for use inside a house with basement and second floor.

I have no special preferences but hope you are able to guide me to find the best suitable card choice for my needs.

Finally it should be easy to install, and preferable with an retractable antenna like the card from 3comīs XJACK.

I look forward to hearing your oppinion and preferences.

http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz

Anything with its chipset listed as Atheros, then get the drivers from: http://madwifi.sourceforge.net

Or, anything PrismGT/Indigo/Duet and they'll be in the default kernel as long as its 2.6

3Com has a version of the X-Jack with the retractable antenna that's Atheros, but make certain to get the EXACT model.

Cheers,
