We need a little more information. What kind of USB mass storage device are you talking about? What version of Linux?

A more informative title on your post would get you more responses too.

When you plug in your USB device, try the command 'dmesg | tail' (without quotes) and post up the output here. It might give us useful information to help fix your problem.

I'm still not understanding what the problem is. How did you try to mount the device? What happened? What version of Linux are you using?
