Help Me

I Have Intel Xeon Dual Processor Based Wipro Net Power Server With 1 Gb Ram , 72 Gb Scsi Hard-disk. The Os Installled Is Linux Advanced Server With Oracle9i Enterprsise Edition Database.

The Problem I Am Facing The Server Runs Soonthly For 1 And Half Hour Then Suddenly The Server Starts Beeping.
The Server Then Hangs Amd Stop Responding To Clients Who Are Connected To The Data Base Through Application Server.

The Databse Is Then Stopped By Shutting Down The Oracle Database Which Normally Takes < 5 Minutes Now Takes 45 Minutes. And When Linux Is Stopped Through Root By Init-0 The Beep Suddenly Stops And Then Is Shut Down Properly. What Could Be The Problem In The Hardware Or In The Softeare Or In The Operating System.

The Service Engineer Is Also In A Fix Ans What Could Be The Problem.

Hardware - almost certainly:

1. Heat could be one problem.

a) Make sure your computer is reasonably well ventilated (not in some hot closet).

b) Open the cover and vacuum out any accumulated dust ("blow your
computer out".

It's actually very important to do this every 6 months to a year, depending
on how much dust you have in your environment.

c) Consider buying a new, better fan for your PC case.

d) Consider buying a fan or cooler for your CPU.

2. Your motherboard might be going.

Find out what model/manufacturer your motherboard and BIOS is, and look for "beep
codes" on their respective web pages.

For example:
http://www.tyan.com/support/html/f_s1590.html
http://www.webopedia.com/quick_ref/BiosBeepCodes2.asp
