help installing an ethernet card!

please help me, i have wanted to switch to linux for a long time, but no distro seems to support my ethernet card...

i have an Asrock K8 Combo-Z motherboard with integrated ethernet. it uses a ULi(ALi) M1689 chipset, and this is the model of the eithernet card itself:

Realtek RTL8201 10/100 Ethernet LAN PHY

i googled around some, but all i can find is stuff about recompiling the kernel, and all kind of crazy hard stuff (for me at least).

currently i am trying to use PCLinuxOS. I have tried SUSE 9.3, Mandrake, Mandriva 2006, and knoppix. none support my card!

HELP!!!!

Thanks,
Damian
