wireless PCI cards are kind of evil, i just recently went through the drama of finding ones that work under linux.
issue "lspci -v" from the command line and find your wireless card, then post that. it should contain the chipset of the wireless card, which will allow you to fish through the below document that discusses drivers for the various chipsets:

the unfortunate part is that a bunch of cards are either not supported or poorly supported under linux. i've got my fingers crossed that you don't have a problem
