HELP...can't find firmware dvb-fe-nxt2004.fw
Please help me find this firmware so I can add it to my directory. I tried get_dvd_firmware but I don't have such file. I believe my HDTV would work if I get such file coz my dmessage says
429.777422] nxt2004: Waiting for firmware upload (dvb-fe-nxt2004.fw)...
[ 429.792954] nxt2004: Waiting for firmware upload(2)...
[ 429.793014] nxt2004: No firmware uploaded (timeout or file not found?)
Thanks. I tried googling but to no avail. If you can post a link I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Clem

From the very first hit in Google (I assume you are running MythTV??):
# chmod +x Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware
# ./Documentation/dvb/get_dvb_firmware nxt2004
If you're not running MythTV, then the second hit in Google applies.

Tried all hits in google...no avail. I have no Documentation folder in my filesystem that I can execute the get_dvb_firmware. I tried the second hit that will install the documentation folder but I don't have the package for kernel-doc-2.6.15..........can somebody create the file for me? By the way I'm using UBUNTU. Thanks

Download the source for your kernel from your distribution. There will be a 'Documentation/dvb/' subdirectory, which will contain the get_dvb_firmware script.

From the Ubuntu Forums, the process appears to be:
apt-get install linux-source
cd /usr/src
tar -xjf linux-source-2.6.15-23.tar.bz2
