HDTV Component video capture on Linux- How?

I'm just wondering if I can get a few links to hardware known to work with Linux that would enable me to capture an HDTV stream from (Analog) Component Video.

I'm simply looking to blit this data to the screen, although, since I've recently replaced bad parts with shiny new ones (^_^), I have more than enough horsepower to encode 1080p to MPEG-4.

Alternatively, a way to capture video from RGB (VGA) cables.
