HDMI to TV display not working
Hi,
I have been trying to connect to a TV screens using a HDMI cable . The cable has been tested using a Virgin TV box.
On the TV, a Hitachi 32HXC01U B, the display is detected (as a Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A. S. 1", a Turkish manufacturer), but no signal is received by the TV, which displays "No input received". Linux creates a phantom display to the right of the laptop screen, which windows/pointer can move in.
Any help appreciated.

I have edited the question to refer only one of the TVs, and I will post a separate question about the other TV as it seems to have a different problem.
