HDIO_GET_MULTCOUNT failed: Invalid argument


when i give this command

[root@localhosts ~]# hdparm /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
HDIO_GET_MULTCOUNT failed: Invalid argument
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
geometry = 8924/255/63, sectors = 73407868928,
start = 0

i am having scsi hard-disk so that's why error is coming or what?
This type of error occurs on my machine what is the way to solve the problem.

Yes. I believe multimode is a ATA thing, not SCSI parameter.
The hdparm was designed with ATA disks in mind.
