Is this a FAT32 FS or is it NTFS?
I'm not sure, but I think FAT32 can only handle 32 gigs (just a thought).

I don't have any other suggestions if the BIOS flash program does not work.

You can still use the full capacity of the drive with windows if you set the jumper for 32gb clip and install the DDO (or whatever IBM calls it) to the MBR. The downside is you can not install a linux bootloader to the MBR.

I believe that linux should also be able to access the full capacity but don't have any direct experience.
