hdc: intr: the drive appears to be confused(0x01)

I'm trying to use CLI but I keep on getting error messages that say there's a problem with hdc or something. It's sort of really annoying because it comes occasionally and it makes it hard to browse the web/edit documents/... How do I get the message to stop?

Hi

Try and comment or delete the following line in /etc/syslog.conf:

"*.emerg *"

and then issue the command "/etc/init.d/syslog restart" as root.

I think this will do the trick, but you wont be seeing any more kernel emergency errors.

Hi, unfortunately that did not do anything. At first, it seemed like it worked but then the message appeared again. Even after a reboot, it did nothing. The messages still keep on coming as I'm typing this message and make it difficult to read things. Ugh.
