HD Sata on Red Hat 3

Hello Folks

I have an Asus A7V880 mother board, my HD is a serial SATA
and I'd like to install Red Hat 3 on it. I'm getting some difficulties because the HD has not been identified by Linux.

How Can I make it work?

Thank You
