I recently installed SuSE 10 on a desktop. All the hardware configurations went smooth except for the printer. The computer is connected to a Canon S520 through a USB cable and I'm using the Canon S500 driver that is provided. I have been able to print some test pages, but with trouble:
The first time it tries to print after start-up, the printer's orange light flashes. After it is restarted it will either print fine once or the green light flashes and I have to unplug it.
The computer didn't think there was an error, it thought it was printing correctly, but I've resolved the issue anyway. I switched to the other driver that was provided and it works fine now.
