i have tried 3 different settings and not seem to be getting anywhere i have tired the sk98lin and skge as well as the focusdeth and it needs more info to configure, i cant seem to get the green "connected" light come on and i use a linksys one is wireless (wrt54gs) and other is vonage phone port router(rt31p2) connected to moteralla modem. any tips or info on this would be appericated, iknow that on windblows it requires a motherboard cd to activated the ehternet port is this also true with linux???????????

This network card was somehow a mess in earlier kernel due to bad driver. I don't know what is your driver, but if you are using anything older than 2.6.16, the kernel driver might not work for you. In that case, you have to download a patch from the card vendor (marvell.com I guess... the patch is an awesome driver), to apply it on your kernel and to recompile it. Or you could just upgrade your kernel to a version earlier than 2.6.16 ( in that case the module will be named sky2).
