Hauppauge WinTV on SuSE 9.1

Hi i got a winTV card detected on my SuSE 9.1 box. but when i try to scan the channels, no matter which mode i scan, it always return me the following error:

v4l2: open /dev/video0: No such device
v4l2: open /dev/video0: No such device
v4l: open /dev/video0: No such device
Number of TV stations found: 0.

Does this mean my card is not properly configured? If so, can anyone provide some info how to setup the tv card?

BTW, i am located in Singapore, and i connect the tvcard through a settop box and then to the cable access point.
