has any one used these modems???


i am looking for a cheap modem!

i have come accross these has any one used these and if so do they work well
both with linux(red hat 9.0 preferably) and (ahem) windoz

From what I understand about modems, just about any serial modem will work with linux and just about any serial modem that will work with linux will work with windoze. I haven't personally tried those two modems, but linux is flexible. (Heck, I'm online with a linmodem!)

Also keep in mind that just about every piece of hardware you buy will have drivers specific for windoze, so I wouldn't worry about incompatability there.

hello

you can also get Conaxent chip hardware and software modem its also a cheep modem and work under linux
driver site = http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/
The free version work on 14.4 mbps for full driver u will have to pay some dollars.
but if u get any 56k serial modem that will be nice for u, i am using USrobotics 56k ISA modem, this is realy nice modem if u can get this one u will get nice experience.
