Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Hardware requirements

I am thinking of switching from Windows to Linux. How do the system requirements match with windows, or better yet what are the minimum system requirements. Also does extra memory help Linux as much as it does Windows.

Extra memory is always good ... If your PC will run WinXP, it'll run Linux
