hardware non-detection

i have a modem that i can use in windows xp but not in Fedora 7 Fedora 7 doesn't even recognize that its there my modem is: US Robotics v92 pn: usr2973oem sn: 3mcay8if2560 ic 550a-10790 A also on the package is usr 56k v.92 Hardware modem and yes im sure i put a lot of useless information but this is everything i have any help would be appreciated thanks

the problem is that it is a winmodem. try the lspci command, that will give you the chipset info. the ltmodem driver might work for you.
