Hardware installation (Mouse, Modem)

Hi There!

I use Mandrake 9.2 for about 3 months.
And I'm beginning to understand it now. But I got loads of problems because I got a very old hardware.

So my Soundcard ATZTECH MMPro 16III S (16bit,PCI, PnP) is not detected, and when I run "sndconfig" I get into the programme but after I do any settings to the /dev-files, I get error messages (I don't remember exactly, but I can look again). (But the sound is not that important)

Further, none of my modems is detected. I usually use an extern Pearl 56k Modem connected to the computer over COM1 (the one with 9 PINs, to avoid misunderstanding).

Thirdly I did a mistake when I booted with a new mouse on the PS2 plug. It was detected automaically, but I selected a serial mouse instead of the PS2. So I have no mouse in GNOME, how can I undo that?

so thanx a lot. And ask, when I didn't desrcribe properly.
gr, Eis

Mouseproblem is solved thanks to "Mousedrake".
But I still don't know how to do this manual.

And if you post me a link to fix my device-Problems, I am happy, too.

gr, eis
