Hardware id, howto change identification of hardware.

My conection is blocked by the Squid, because i use sometimes
the KTorrent program.

But, if i change MAC address and hostname, continues blocking.

MAC:
#ifconfig eth0 hw ether AB:CD:EF:GH:IJ:KL
Hostname
#hostname foo

My question is, what more i need change to unblock?

Regards

Tulio Ribeiro.

Connections can be blocked any number of ways. By IP, MAC, hostname, port or port range, protocol, state. If it's your system disable blocking or squid. If it isn't talk to the network admin.

As already pointed out by NyteOwl, just disable the blocking if it is your system/network. If it is not your system/network you have to ask the administrator to unblock you.
Please clarify your situation, is this your system/network?

I don't want talk to the System Admin... I don't have control of Squid, not my network, im not the administrator.

My question is, have any other way to unblock without talk to the System admin?

ps.: if i plug another pc on the cable, works...

Regards

Tulio Ribeiro.

Circumventing blockings that your network administrator has set up can be considered hacking and questions regarding this topic are not allowed by the rules of LQ.
