Hardware compatibility for potential new server (SMP)

I will be putting together a new server soon. I wanted to ask about compatibility before I purchased.

My concern is that this will be a multi processor server. I will be looking at:
Motherboard: Supermicro H8QGi-F
CPUs: 4x Opteron 6272
plus memory, PS, etc.

Does Ubuntu 12.04 Server support a 4 CPU system? in this configuration?

Info Googled from the Ubuntu Forums shows:

Maximum CPUs: 64
Maximum memory: 128GB

Maximum per-process virtual address space: N/A
These are standard max limitations whereas Linux cluster systems can scale up to 1024 CPU's..
And Maximum number of processes Linux 2.6 kernel can handle is:
Maximum number of threads: 32000
Maximum number of threaded processes: 32000
Maximum number of processes: 32000
