Hardware Compatibility

Hi,

i'm worried if this hardware will be compatible with Fedora Core 3.

ATI RADEON 7000, ---> i went to ATI's support site, they only mentioned something about RADEON 8500's and up are available for CATALYST.

CMEDIA CMI8738 --> CMedia 87xx were seen on the Red Hat Shrike (ver 9) compatibility list, and the manufaturer's have the drivers for linux core ver 2.6 and above, so i'm not sure if this'll work.

I'll be pleased if anyone can give a link to the hardware compatibility list for Fedora Core 3.

Thanks again.

CMEDIA CMI8738 is already supported in kernel 2.6 (snd_cmipci) and works very well with ALSA (run alsaconf) and the dmix plugin (create an $home/.asoundrc file). Make sure all sound modules are compiled as modules as ALSA likes to load them. Don't compile them into the kernel.

ATI RADEON 7000 should work, but I have a card from the competition...srry
