hardware choice for 4 computers

I have got 4 computers including 2 laptops. I want to avoid having 4 keyboards/ mouse and monitor on my desk. It would be better if I could use only one monitor/keyboard and mice to flip between the computers. I was thinking of getting a KVM. Which one should I buy? What are the pros and cons? Is there any other alternative to KVMs?

This guy reported a KVM switch that worked out of the box. I'd probably go with that one. I've never used one, so I couldn't give you my opinion on the pros and cons. Just remebered that post and thought I'd point it out.
