harddisk support issue


hello there,
anybody knows any seagate st340014a 40GB 7200compatible issue with redhat linux 8?

Compatibility issues hardly ever (and I mean lottery odds) creep up with just straight harddrives, its a matter of how the IDE controller communicates with the drive, and rarely, if your board's BIOS flakes out in reporting the geometry right, but that's it, if your IDE chipset is supported, the drive is.
