Hard drives causing kernel panic in slack 11
 
I installed slcakware with the hard drives with all my data on disconnected did not mount them, etc but if i plug one or both in i get a

Kernel Panic: No init found. try passing init= to kernel.

Im running slackware 11

Help please?

It sounds like you have changed the device order by adding the new drives, and because of this the system can't mount the root filesystem.

For example, this could happen if you had installed Slackware on the secondary master drive then reconnected the drive with Slackware installed as primary master. You would have went from /dev/hdc to /dev/hda, which would make the machine unbootable until the fstab entries have been corrected.
