Hi,

Some months ago I installed a new hardrive in a SATA array for our file server (Nethserver 7, CentOS 7)

Recently I noticed some errors messages in the system console :

Oct 1 01:00:21 serveur kernel: sd 3:0:0:0: [sdb] Sense Key : Medium Error [current] [descriptor]

Anybody could explain what's going on ? Since the drive is new, should I send it to warranty ?

Thank you very much.

I suggest you get hold of the disk manufacturers stand alone self test software and run that outside any installed OS and see what that says.
