Unhappy graphics card problem

I have a graphics card nvidia geforce 4 mx 440 with agp 8x, and i installed suse 9.0. I downloaded drivers from nvidia's website. I have not been able to install it properly. When it finishes 97%, it shows an error message /usr/bin/chrc.config not found and exits. My kernel version is 2.4.21 (i586). XFree86 v4.3.0.1,gcc v3.3.1. Please some one tell me which driver should i download and from where.

Suse provides NVidia drivers, you can try those. To get them just run online update from yast.
