GPU Fan issues, cooling questions

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-gefo...-952-_-Product
ASRock A320M/ac - https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320Mac/index.asp

I was using Windows 10. I decided to dump it and go back to linux, specifically LinuxMint. The computer was acting very odd with Windows 10. Thanks to Linux I identified and fixed several issues that I knew nothing about while I was running windows. Long story short I am down to the last issue. My GPU fan does not work at all. I will be replacing it and any suggestions for that would be greatly appreciated.

Now another thing I want to do is add a pcie fan card to the board. I basically need a cheaper, (not a lot of money to play with), way to keep this pc and gpu as cool as possible. Anyone have any better ideas or suggestions?

Right now, I hate doing this, but I have the side panel of the tower off and a fan blowing into the computer at the GPU. It is keeping it cool but it still heats up with some games, plus having the side open has its own potential risks. I really hate doing it this way. So this work around is only a brief one, so I need to get things fixed the right way.

Any suggestions would be great. I need to get this back to where it was. I can't do most games I play when the card over heats, screen rips, lag and a few times, before I realized the issue, it got so hot the card shutdown, Nvidia-Settings slow down temp. So whatever I can do to keep this thing as cool as possible would be great.

Thanks and I hope everyone is safe.

Edit: So far what I got is this. The replacement fan for the Nvidia card.https://www.amazon.com/GTX1050Ti-Gef.../dp/B086CD3HCG

These are the fan cards I am looking through. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=pcie+fan+...f=nb_sb_noss_1

On top backside of cabinet have a good +120mm fan sucking air out.

I*) would forget the silly little 85mm gpu fan and the pci sideboard and instead combine the two... like these or these

Of course make sure the kit is compatible with your card... and do get some new silicon paste to replace old paste.

*) actually I got tired of aircooling decades ago and watercooled everything. Alas it comes with quite a price tag...

I'm very skeptical of the Arctic GPU coolers - I had one a few years ago and it had a nasty habit of vibrating its mount screws loose every few days, which would lead to massive temperatures. Also keep in mind 'just put loctite' is a bad idea here - you want this to be removable for service. Finally, some of those heatsinks are massive (and weigh a lot), which will cause board sag and can lead to the PCB itself bending over time (which can lead to premature failure). Note that the 1050 is not an exceptionally 'hot' running card, so if its truly just a matter of replacing the fan on the factory heatsink, I'd take that option and be done with it.

If the factory heatsink is relatively large, and you can get the plastic shroud off, you could 'replace' the fan with a 'fan card' as you mention - I have this model (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YV3Q7C6) cooling an ancient GeForce 6800 using the original heatsink, but with the plastic shroud and original blower fan removed, and it runs just fine. They even show this use-case in their example images. Note that I wouldn't suggest this for a very high TDP card (like a Radeon Vega for example), but it shouldn't be much of a problem with a 1050.

Finally, if you don't like that option, you could just zip-strap a fan to the factory heatsink as well.
