Got wrong monitor drivers, cant change back

I just installed a new monitor and after that the screen got very small in X, so I went to the Mandrake Control Panel and changed monitor driver. However, I must have choosed the wrong one since after restarting X the screen simply flickers. When I change to the promt it works ok. My question is, how do I change the monitor driver from shell?
I suppose all I have to do is to change the x.org config and change Modes to "default". Problem is, I dont know how to. I need some kind of an editor. I found vim but I cant seem to understand it. I have Mandrake 10.1 Community installed. Any help will be appreciated!

If you find yourself in this position, go to the /usr/sbin/ dir and type ./drakxconf. That makes everything easy...
