Well I got the modem to dail up and everything last night. But today I got on and i retyped the code and everything went the same except I used Kppp and each time i dial i hear the dial tone sometimes and sometimes the numbers get punched in but it keeps saying modem script timeout whats the problem here?
Also how can I make it that I don't have to type the stuff each time i start Linux.
I saw some tutorial on it but i don't understand how to install it to your rc.d and rc.local files can anyone help?
Nevermind I got it to work fine but I still need to know how to not type all that stuff when i start linux like cna i make it do it by itself? on linux right now

It depends what it is but you can probably just put it in rc.local
ahh i'd rather go to the store and just buy the actual book i bet Barnes and Noble has at least Linux for Dummies or something so I'll look today I bet it will help some lot
