Good Dial-Up Modems for Linux?

Greetings.

After having broadband for the past six years, I will be forced to down-grade to dial-up due to an upcoming move where the only option is satellite, and that is completely out of my price range. I've been a regular user of SuSE and currently use 9.3. I was wondering if anyone had any particular good luck with a specific modem? Currently I do not even own a modem and would rather buy one that someone can recommend from experience that works well with Linux, SuSE in particular. I prefer USB over PCI, if possible.

I welcome any recommendations.

Thanks!

Hi there , dont pay for a modem before you try it , seems what works on one comp. might not work on another, had same trouble here , tried many and nearly gave up untill i stumbled on one in local rubbish tip , took home and never missed a beat since,
that was an AOpen model No. FM56EX/2. best of luck
