Going wireless?


I am interested in getting a wireless network card so i can go war driving. I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to which card i should get.

If you're gunna go war driving I'd suggest using WinXP. There are better programs for war driving in Windows and if you ever get caught hacking a computer, you can blame it on WinXP connecting to everything and anything it can find

BTW. I have a NetGear MA401-RA that works fine using orinoco drivers, but was kind of annoying to set up

I second the Netgear MA401-RA. Took 10 minutes of googling and a little LQ searching to get it going.

Kismet is good for wireless detection + other goodies. Ethereal is great for network "observing".
