i have found the drivers for the raid at the ITE website. they have support for debian, redhat, mandrake, suse and turbo. there is also source and make files for the 2.4.x and 2.6.x kernals. so my question is how can i make a kernal so that i can use it to install a kernal on my raid array. my thinking is that i have to have another single harddrive to install linux on then complie the kernal with the raid drivers. Then plug the array harddrives in, then they are useable i.e. i can mount them. what i want to do is install from the cds or floppy with a kernal that can recognise the raid array. please help me im getting closer and more over my head. thanks
