Gigabyte mobo's
Is anyone currently using the Gigabyte GA-7ZXE mobo in there computers? If so, how has it performed with linux running on it? I also would like to hear from people using the Iwill kd266, kk266 plus, or xp33.

If I'm right those all have the same family of VIA 266 chipset and the same north and south bridge. Some people here might be running the board and have the opportunity to chime in, but really those chipsets are well supported under Linux. Board performance is really just a matter of blind hardware, regardless of OS, so unless (and I haven't look them up), there are a lot of onboard components (NIC, sound, video, blah blah blah), the best advice you could get would probably be from a good bench site like Tom's Hardware.

Okay, I lied, I looked up the first one. Why get an SDRAM board? DDR will add about $50, but the performance boost is well worth it, especially with DDR 333mhz FSBs out.
