Gigabyte 9600se, NOOB ! Anyone know How to install drivers ?

I've got a MSI Neo2-LS mobo, a gigabyte ATI Radeon 9600se Vid card... and I'm Soooooooo LOST with Linux.. I really don't know what to do.. Where to begin.. I've seen ATI's site.. But I'm lost there.. And MSI's .. Whoa !... So if anyone could kind of do a step by step .. I'd send you mass amounts of Doll-Hairs.. Just looking for a step by step kinda thing to help get me on the right path.. As I've only worked with M$......

EDIT. I'm running Mandrake 10 !!! if you need more specs let me know how to find them.. As I have no CLUE ?!?!?!?!

I never had an ATI card and i don't use mandrake but look at this page from the linux questions tutorial section:

the driver you need is probably the X.Org 6.8 driver from this page:
