Getting sound working on the GA-965P-DQ6 (ALC888, Ubuntu 6.10)

Hi everyone,
I've recently installed [Ubuntu] 6.10, and I was wow'd by the experience--Ubuntu came up quickly and had already configured almost everything perfectly.

Unfortunately, my sound is not working. The hardware is recognized from what I can see, but nothing comes out (not muted either). Does anyone know how to make it work? I generally use the optical out to pipe sound to a receiver.
