Get data off of flip phone with Linux

My mother has an old flip phone. It doesn't support 4G but instead appears to use 3G which is being phased out. She values the data on the phone.
She loves flip phones and is certainly going to get another.

(Sorry if this has already been asked. The search function is not currently operational.)

I tried searching online on how to get the data off of it, but I can only find information for smart-phone devices.

I tried connecting it to my Linux computer and talking to it using mtp but it's not detected. I did the same on a windows machine and all it sees is a driver install which I went through and that appeared to do nothing to help me at all.

There is a chance that the cellphone store could do this, but IDK if that's the best idea because I've been to a few and these people are not trained well and have ego problems.

It's an LG phone from Verison running BREWMP 1.0.2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary...t_for_Wireless

I'm running an up-to-date Devuan (Debian) Linux.

How can I get this phone to sync it's data to Linux?

Thanks!

If the phone is still active on Verizon, I’d start with their phone support. *611, ‘tho that could be challenging if trying to work in the phone while talkIng on it...check their website. All my experiences with them have been very positive.

You should be able to backup the phone to their cloud, then access the data from there, for example.

Verizon has an online chat function in support. Obviously your mother's phone is still active. If you do not have an online account you should be able to create one:
Code:
https://login.verizonwireless.com/vzauth/UI/Login
. You will need her account number. Once you are registered, go to support and look for her device. In there should be a chat option. Start a chat and explain what you are trying to do. They operate 24/7 I believe and should be able to help you.

My guess is they will probably have you get her new phone then contact them for instructions. My wife just ordered a new phone from them. After she received it she followed their directions and chatted with them to transfer all the information from her old phone to the new, deactivate the old and activate the new. It was not the easiest thing to do, but it worked and they were most helpful.

I believe there is also a backup function but you should be able to get all of that info from them online.

Contact them and see what they say.
