General RAID Questions

So I just bought a new computer since my old one started to fail. Now I had a RAID1 setup on it and when I ran the
Code:
df
command in the terminal it told me the partitions were

Code:
/dev/mapper/sil*1
/dev/mapper/sil*2
and so one for each partition. I bought the new computer and after much problem I've gotten it running however I'm not sure the RAID is still active. I have the RAID card plugged in, the drives plugged in the same way and the RAID bios tells me that it's active. When I load into Linux and run:

Code:
df
it prints out:

Code:
/dev/sdb1 ...
/dev/sdb2 ...
and so on for all partitions. Is this correct or is my RAID not working the same. If it's not how do I fix the problem?

The RAID card is a Silicon Image Sil3114 controller, in a RAID1 configuration with two Western Digital 160GB hard drives.
