hey 1st post on this site. hopefully you guys can help

I started running a Linux dual-boot again when FC5test2 and I remembered how sweet linux was. i so far am really liking FC5 but as it is a test there are a few bugs. so i wanted to go back to FC4 because that was the distro i started on and i have also found many guides regarding FC4 in my search for help on FC5. but when i boot in to Anaconda graphical installer the screen freezes. i was confused because i used it fine before. so i decided to use the textual installer but after doing so FC4 wouldn't go into a graphical display. so reinstalled FC5 and noticed that FC5 recognizes my 6800 as a different card then FC4. so i would like to install FC4 but i think i need a driver disk to insert before it loads the nvidia drivers. can anyone help me with that, or is there something else i can do? thank you

FC4 should be able to handle your nvidia card. It comes with a generic driver called the nv driver so you should not have any initial issues installing FC4 in graphical mode. After you get everything setup go to

and there should be instructions on installing the official nvidia driver for your gaming needs.

i installed FC4 in text mode again. but this time i pulgged my monitor into the DVI port (with a adapter) and it still wouldn't start the x server. but i was able to install the nvidia display drivers and have nvidia manage X istead and now it works fine. thank you.
