geforce 6600 drivers?

so i went to nvidias website hit graphic->geforce->linux amd64 (from drivers menu) and i start downloading the driver i get to about 5-10 percent and it craps out on me, i even tried downloading the file on a different computer (which runs XP) and it wouldnt work, so i am wondering if there is a alternate place i can download the driver from, and by the way this is the error i get:
Code:
/home/user/Desktop/downloads/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-9629-pkg2.run.part
could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

try again later, or contatct the server administrator

I just installed a Debian system (using nVidia on an AMD64) a few ours our ago and noticed the same problem. I got it using wget, but it took almost a full hour...
Code:
wget http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/1.0-9629/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-9629-pkg2.run
