geforce 6100


does anyone know how to install and enable 3d acceleration for an nvidia geforce 6100 onboard video card???? i want to do this so i can install xgl


when i try to check for 3d acceleration i get this error message
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".

It depends on what Linux distro you're using. I've done it on Fedora Core 5 and Gentoo. Both different.
