Hey, I am currently using Mandriva 10.1 PowerPack, and Dual Booting WinXP. I am thinking about upgrading to Mandriva LE 2005, and finally Ditch WindowsXP. THe only thing that is stopping me is the ability to set up my joystick on the Gameport, I don't have a USB joystick, and this is a Throttle with a Joystick attached to it, made by SunCom, a SFS Flight Controller.

IF anybody can give me the instructions, on how to set up a Gameport joystick I would be very happy. Currently I have a Creative Labs Soundblaster 128 sound card. And can it be done in the GUI, in a KDE Control Panel, or is it done via the terminal?

Just read the modules part. It can be that after loading the ns558 module the joystick still isn't recognized, just remove it (modprobe -r ns558) and try it again, this is just an annoying bug in the ns558 module .
I read somewhere on the net that this joystick has a analog mode, so it shouldn't be needed to load joystick specific drivers.
