I got a usb Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike game controller yesterday
The game that I like to play is called Nexuiz and its based off quake
It can read the buttons but it wont let the camera be controlled by anything but the mouse
Is there an application I cud use to make the gamepad control the mouse so i cud play the game, also there the game cant read the movement pad (that might be the wrong thing to call it)
No guarantee this will work, I've never actually done it, but it is all I can think of. X has a joystick driver (xf86-input-joystick), it is very configurable. My thinking is that you could set it up in your xorg.conf and map the pad to emulate a mouse.
If you have the xf86-input-joystick driver installed, you can check out the man page (man joystick).
