GallantWEB

I feel bad about asking, but i'm about desperate. I have here a Gallantry server box, I know not the model or anything like that. I was told that it was eleven hundred dallors, two years ago. So I hope it's good! Not the point, my uncle, businessman extraordinare, gave me the box so I could start learning networking and server hosting, to further my website building skills. Unfortunately, he has lost the GallantWEB discs. He got a burned copy of the software from a friend, forgetting that we needed a serial to use it. So my question - Does anyone out there have a serial, or discs, that they don't use, and can help out, or even sell to me? Thanks for any help!

Wow. Your uncle gave you pirated software and now you want us to help you install it? The Rules you agreed to expressly forbid this. Contact Gallantry and buy a new one.

Pirated? I was told that because he legally purchased both the server and the software, his posetion of burnt copies of the software was legal. And we did contact Gallantry, they cant issue a new Serial, because they don't sell this box anymore. Which is why i'm asking if someone out there is willing to sell their copies of the software. I'm not asking for someone to crack anything, or anything like that. I'm looking to legitimately purchase, unless someone's got one to throw away, legitment GallantWEB software/serial number.

1. Asking for serial numbers of commercial software, or for copies of the software itself, is prohibited by the LQ Rules.

2. Asking to buy or sell anything in the forums is also prohibited by the LQ Rules.

3. As XavierP indicated, this issue needs to be resolved between you and Gallantry. If the conversations you've had with them thus far have been unsatisfactory, ask to speak to a supervisor. Repeat as necessary.
